In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar. Beat in egg. Combine the flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mix. Set aside 1 cup for topping. Spread remaining mix into a greased 13x9x2 baking dish. Bake at 425 for 10 min.Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the sugars and cornstarch. Stir in cranberries and apple juice. Bring to a boil.
