Stir flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Cut in butter with pastry cutter until mixture is consistency of coarse cornmeal. Beat eggs until light, reserving a litter of the egg mixture to brush over tops of scones. Stir in milk.Make a well in centre of dry ingredients add liquid slowly to make a soft dough. Pat to3/4 " thick. Brush with egg mixture and sprinkle with sugar (lightly) Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 450 degrees 12 - 15 minutes.
