3 Tbsp raw honey
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
1 1/2 C fat free milk
1/2 tsp fresh grated nutmeg
Boiling water, as needed


How Do I Make Easy Egg Custard?

Here is how you make Easy Egg Custard:

Preheat oven to 350?F. In a large bowl, beat together eggs, egg whites, honey, vanilla and salt. In a medium saucepan, heat milk over high heat until just about to boil, about 10 minutes. Remove milk from heat immediately. Slowly pour milk into egg mixture, a few tablespoons at a time, while whisking. Place six ramekins in a deep baking dish. Pour custard evenly into each ramekin so each ramekin is about two-thirds full and top with nutmeg, dividing evenly. Slide out the oven rack , place baking dish with ramekins on rack, then carefully fill it with boiling water and slide rack into oven to bake. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove baking dish from oven and let cool until ramekins can sagely be removed from hot wather bath. Serve custard warm or chill in refrigerator overnight to enjoy the next day.
