4 Tblsp Golden Syrup
4 Tblsp Grapeseed Oil
8 Dates, pitted and chopped

Here is how you make English Flap Jacks:

Soak the Dates in boiling water. Place the Oats into a baking dish - 9 inches by 9 inches and place under a hot grill.Lightly toast the Oats careful they don't burn. You will want to shake them about a few times to get them evenly toasted.Meanwhile, melt the Margarine in a dish in the microwave, this will only take between 30 seconds and a minute. Add the Syrup to the Margarine and stir well. Drain the Dates and add them to the Syrup and Marg mixture and give everything a really good stir.Take the Oats from under the toaster and stir the Syrup/Date/Marg mixture directly into the same pan. Stir really well and make sure all the Oats are coated.
