2 pints of your favorite fruit
1/2 cup sugar
4 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon mixed with 1 tablespoon sugar


How Do I Make Fruit Dumplings?

Here is how you make Fruit Dumplings:

for dough:Mix flour 3 table spoons sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in large bowl. In smaller bowl, mix buttermilk, liquid butter and oil. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the buttermilk mixture. Mix until combined then set aside.For Fruit mixture:In a heavy skillet, combine the fruit, sugar and lemon juice with 1/4 cup water. Toss gently, cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low; remove cover. drop dumpling batter by spoonfuls evenly over the simmering fruit.Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Cover pan tightly with lid or foil; cook for 15 to 17 minutes or until dumplings are firm to the touch.Serve hot with fat-free frozen yogurt or whipped cream.
