70gr Anchor butter or other butter
3 tbsp caster sugar
1/2 lemon juice

Here is how you make CJ's Fruit Scones:

1 Preheat oven 200c, gas 6. Combine flour + baking powder in bowl. Add butter rubbing lightly with finger tips until the mixture resembles breadcurmbs. Stir in sugar.2 Mix the lemon juice + vanilla into milk, stir into mixture. Bring the dough together with hands until just combined. Pat or gently roll out to 2.5cm thick on a lighty floured board. Using a 6cm biscuit cutter, cut out 8 scones and place on a lighly floured baking sheet. (re-roll any excess dough) 3 Brush top of each scone with milk and sprinkle with a little sugar. Bake for 18-20 minutes until just golden. Cool before serving with clotted cream and strawberry or raspberry jam...
