Take your asparagus and snap off woody ends. Line up all stocks and cut with knife for a clean presentation.

Put your asparagus in a skillet and cover with water, you only need enough to let them bounce around a bit. Bring up to a boil and cook until they are a vibrant green and done to your liking. (this takes about 3-4 minutes). Next, scoop out asparagus and place in a bowl of ice water. This is to stop the cooking process, keep in bowl until stalk is cold to touch and then remove and let try on a paper towel.

Take your skillet, wipe it dry and place on medium heat. Once your pan has warmed add your olive oil and pressed garlic (or minced). Swirl in the pan for about 20 seconds before adding asparagus. Gently but continually agitate the pan in a shaking motion until coated and heated thoroughly, remove and serve.
