Here is how you make Mamaw?s Gingerbread:

Preheat center to 400 degrees. Lay out a brown paper bag and cover with generous amount of flour. Mix all gingerbread ingredients together and pour out onto paper bag. Cover your hands and the batter with flour. Pinch the batter into small pieces, shape into little cakes and place on greased cookie sheet.Bake for 10 minutes on top rack...watch carefully as gingerbread burns easily. Brown the top of the gingerbread on ?broil? for about 1 minute or until it is lightly brown.
