Preheat oven to 350. grease cookie sheets. rolls out dough and cut out hearts. every other heart should have a smaller heart cut out of center. Bake until just browing. 8-12 mins. cool then fill with jam. top of cookies will have cut-out. sift powdered sugar over the top. a 2 inch cookie cutter should create 20 finished cookies. I've made these every year for valentines day as well as brunches and teas. This year I will try with substitutions.
