Here is how you make Lemon Trifle/Lemon Tirimusu:

break up the trifle sponges in the bottom of a serving bowl.sprinkle with lemon juice (or orange juice or lemon cello) so all the pieces are slight moistened. Mix the 3 egg yolks, condensed milk, zest and juice of the three lemons in a bowl. Spoon 2 tbsp of the mix over the sponges. Beat the 3 egg white into soft peeks and carefully fold into the rest of the lemon mixture being careful not to over work the egg white and loose the air. Pour the foamy mousey goodness over the sponge pieces. If you have time, let it set in the fridge for as long as you can (it always tastes better the next day!)
