1 tsp Vanilla Extract

How Do I Make Peanut Brittle?

Here is how you make Peanut Brittle:

Mix baking soda, vanilla and water in a ramican, put aside. Butter a jelly roll pan and put aside. Mix sugar water and corn syrup in a 3 quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, to a soft ball stage(240 F.). Stir in the peanuts and butter. Cook, stirring constantly, to a hard crack (302 F) . Immediately remove from heat, stir in the baking soda mixture. Pour out on the jelly roll pan and spread.
