1/4 tsp. lemon peel

Here is how you make No Added Sugar Apple Pie:

Crust:Set aside 1/4 C flour for rolling.In a large bowl combine the remaining flour with the salt and Splenda. Using a fork and a knife, mix in the in the Smart Balance. Add the applesauce, then the water.Set aside 1/3 of the dough for the top crust. Roll out bottom crust on a pice of parchment paper, and put into a large pie pan. Prick crust with fork. Filling:Peel, core and cut the apples into bite sized pieces. Put them into a bowl, and pour lemon juice over the apples.Place the apples and lemon juice into the bottom crust in the pie pan.In a small bowl, mix the remaining filling ingredients and sprinkle over the apples.Roll out the top crust on the parchment paper.Using a pastry brush and some water, moisten the top edge of the bottom crust, so that the top crust will stick to it. Place the top crust over the pie, and press to seal the edges. Poke holes in the top crust with the fork. Bake @ 450 degrees for 45 minutes.
