Here is how you make Bettsi's Blackberry Pie:

Rinse berries thoroughly. Gently fold in sugar, flour and cinnamon. Set aside.Mix flour and salt. Cut in shortening until entire mixture resembles pea-size crumbs. Add cold water, a tablespoon at a time, until dough holds together. Divide into two lumps. Roll out each lump into a 12" circle. Place one inside your pie tin. Fill with berries. Place second circle of crust on top. Cut vent holes, crimp edges. Bake in 425° oven for 35 to 45 minutes. After first 15 minutes, cover edges of pie with foil to prevent over browning.
