Here is how you make Pear Crunch Pie:

Drain pears, reserving syrup. Place pear syrup in a four cup glass measuring cup. Add enough water to pear syrup to make 1 1/2 cups. Combine sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg and salt. Stir into pear syrup. Microwave 3 1/2 minutes to 4 1/2 minutes, or until mixture thickens, stirring every minute during cooking. Stir in lemon juice and butter. Slice pears and arrange in pie shell. Pour mixture over top.
