Pour into pie shell.Bake 15 minutes at 425 then lover to 350 without opening the oven. Bake an additional 45 minutes then turn off oven and let sit for 30 minutes without opening oven. Remove pie and set on counter 30-60 minutes before placing in refrigerator. Chill before serving.Notes: The water pan in the oven will create steam to keep the pie from drying out. The additional resting time in the oven after the full one hour bake will help set the custard.Resting the pie out of the oven before chilling will help keep the pie from cracking.
