4.5 c. flour (I use 2.5 c. white, and 2 c. white wheat)
.25 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
2 sticks blue bonnet margerine cold
1c. unsweetened apple sauce and about a .25 c. on reserve
1 tbsp. maple flavoring if you choose
Sometimes I add walnuts as well


How Do I Make scones?

Here is how you make scones:

In a large bowl mix together dry ingredients. In a different bowl put together the syrup, apple sauce and nuts if so desired. Cut the butter/margerine into the dry ingredients, then combine with wet ingredients. Sometimes I have to add the little extra apple sauce here to get everything to mix well. Roll out about 1 inch thick and then cut.
