* 1/4 c brown sugar

* 1/4 t ground nutmeg
* 1/4 c unsalted butter
* 2 tart apples (granny smith) - peeled, cored and sliced

Here is how you make Caramel Apple Pork Chops:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F 2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brush chops lightly with oil and place in hot pan. Sear chops on both sides. Place in 13x9 baking dish, set aside. 3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt and pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add butter to skillet, and stir in brown sugar mixture and apples. Cover and cook until apples are just tender and sauce is slightly thickened. 4. Spoon sauce over chops. 5. Bake, covered for 30-45 minutes, or until pork chops are done 6.
