This is an amazing recipe for fall. I had this at a local restaurant and recreated. You can change the amount of whipping cream and butter to suit your needs and taste. You can also eliminate the onion, if you choose. Also, in the past, I have marinated the pork in light soy sauce and apple cider vinegar. Very simple. Great with whole grain rice and a vegetable.

Here is how you make Carmel Apple Pork:

Marinate pork chops, if you choose. Then season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in skillet, and cook chops about 3 minutes per side. Put in oven on low to keep warm.Add 2 tbsp of Smart balance to pan drippings. Add onion and cook until carmelized. Add sliced apples, brown sugar blend, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir and cook until apples are tender. Add remaining tbsp of Smart Balance and heavy cream to the pan. Stir and heat until warm.
