8 oz. tomato sauce
1 pkt taco seasoning mix
1 c. cornmeal
2 tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. oil
1 c. corn kernals


How Do I Make Black Bean Tamale Pie?

Here is how you make Black Bean Tamale Pie:

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add onion and green pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, and seasoning. Set aside.3. In a medium bowl, combin cornmeal, and sugar. Stir in milk, egg, and remaining oil. Add corn. Press mixture on the bottom and side of a greased 9" pie pan.4. Spoon bean mixture into cornmeal crust. Bake for 20-30 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese (optional). Continue baking for 2-5 minutes (until cheese melts).
