Cook bacon. Remove from pan, leaving bacon fat. Sweat onions in fat. Add in green beans and cook for a minute. Add water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and cover. When green beans are almost done remove cover and turn heat to high and boil till water is gone. Add bacon back, stir and serve.
