I heated my soup in the microwave but you can do that on stove top. For the potatoes I combined 1.5 c. water and Smart Balance and brought it to a boil. While it was boiling I thinned my dressing (The box says half a cup of milk) and stirred it. When the water was boiling, I took the pan off heat. Then, I added my potatoes and stirred in the "milk". You might need to add a touch more water to thin it out.
