1 Half Large Onion roughly chopped
*Tomatoes, red, ripe, 4 plum tomatoes halved
Broccoli, fresh, 1 cup, chopped
Bay Leaf, 1 Large Whole,
Beef, top sirloin, 1 lb chopped or Lean Stew Meat
Celery, raw, 2 cup, diced
Red Potato, 2 Medium chopped/diced
Mushrooms, fresh, 2 cup, pieces or slices
*Soup, Progresso Hearty tomato, 2 cup
Water, 4 cup (8 fl oz)
*McCormick GrillMates Montreal Steak Seasoning, 2 tsp
Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend, 2 tsp
Stewed Tomatoes, 1 cup I use italian seasoned
Olive Oil/Veg Oil, 1 tbsp
Fresh Rosemary, 2 tbsp or large sprig.
Basil, 5-8 leaves depending on size



How Do I Make Hearty Vegetable Beef Stew?

Here is how you make Hearty Vegetable Beef Stew:

Chop 1 lb of beef into 1 inch stew chunks or buy lean stew meat. Dry meat thoroughly with paper towels otherwise it won't brown up in pan while cooking. I large stock pot, brown beef in hot pan with oil for about 5-7 minutes until browned nicely. Add half of the Montreal seasong, bay leaves, basil and sprig of fresh rosemary, Add 1 Tbsp of unbleached w/w flour and cook for about a minute. Add root vegetables, cook for another couple minutes. Next add water, can of tomato soup, stewed tomatoes, the rest of the seasonings and let come to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for 1 hour, half hour before serving add potatoes, brocolli, and finally 10 minutes before serving add mushrooms. Remove bay leaf and rosemary stems before serving.
