1/2 average sized head Raw Green Cabbage, sliced long ways into narrow strips
2 slices Bacon, cut into 1/2" pieces
1 cup Onion, chopped
1 cup Potato, diced into about 1/2" size
1 bottle Beer (alcoholic or non-alcoholic - I use non)
Salt and Pepper to taste

Here is how you make Beer-Braised Cabbage:

Chop all ingredients beforehand. In a fairly deep pan, start the bacon over medium heat until it starts to render a little fat. Add the potato, some salt and pepper. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the onion and stir to mix in. Add the cabbage on top and cover tightly for a couple of minutes. The cabbage will start to shrink a little and make it easier to stir. Pour in the beer, mix everything up a bit and put the lid back on.
