This red cabbage and brussel sprouts dish is colorful and flavorful.The nutritional breakdown uses pork bacon, but turkey works too. Here is how you make Sauteed Brussel Sprouts with Red Cabbage:

In a wok or skillet, cook the bacon pieces. Set aside and do not drain the fat.Bring a pot of water to boil. Wash brussel sprouts. Cut off bottoms, remove one layer of leaves, and cut sprouts in half. Once water is boiling, add brussel sprouts. As soon as the water returns to a boil, drain the sprouts and add them to a bath of ice water. This stops them from over cooking and preserves their bright green color.In your wok or skillet with the bacon, add your olive oil and medium/high heat. Add cabbage and sautee for about 5 minutes. Add brussel sprouts and maple syrup and sautee another 5 minutes.
