What Are The Ingredients For Heidi's Taco Casserole Recipe?The ingredients for Heidi's Taco Casserole are: Tortilla ChipsChicken Breasts (2 large or 3 smaller) refried beans cream of chicken soup green (or red) enchillada sauce shredded cheese Optional: Black olives, jalepenos, mushrooms May substitute cream of chicken for cream of mushroom How Do I Make Heidi's Taco Casserole?Here is how you make Heidi's Taco Casserole: Pre-heat oven to 300 Degrees F.Slice up chicken breasts into bite size pieces. Cook chicken over stove top until cooked (season with some taco seasoning or your favorite spices).In a 9x12 baking dish, put chips in a thin layer on the bottom (may crunch down to make bites smaller). Spread cooked chicken over chips evenly. Spread refried beans over top of chicken (for easier spreading, heat beans up first to loosen them up). Spoon cream of chicken soup in a thin layer over beans (too much and it will get runny). Pour the enchillada sauce over to your taste. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over top and then add your favorite items like black olives or peppers.Put dish into oven and cook for about 45 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling. Serve with tortillas and sour cream if desired (and salsa).
