1 cup barley, uncooked
1 cube chicken bouillon
2 chicken breasts w/ribs and skin (removed after baking)
1 tbsp Thyme
1 lime, medium

How Do I Make Lime Chicken Barley Bake?

Here is how you make Lime Chicken Barley Bake:

Preheat oven to 350*F. In a medium sauce pan, combine onion, carrots, water, barley, and bouillon cube. Add salt & pepper to taste. Bring to a boil. Pour hot mixture into a 1.5 quart casserole dish or 9x9 baking dish. Arrange chicken breasts on top. Squeeze lime juice on top of chicken. Sprinkle Thyme on chicken. Bake, covered, for 50-60 minutes, until barley and chicken are tender.When it's done, I usually remove the skin and ribs, and cut the chicken up into the barely & carrots.
