7 TBSP Land O Lakes whipped butter
7 TBSP All purpose flour
1 small onion, chopped
3 cups chicken broth
2 tsp sodium free chicken boullion
1/4 tsp poultry seasoning
3 cups cooked chicken, bite size pieces
4 medium potatoes, cubed, cooked
1 can peas and carrots, drained
3 cups heart healthy bisquick
1 cups milk


How Do I Make Chicken and Biscuits?

Here is how you make Chicken and Biscuits:

**VERY IMPORTANT**BOIL POTATOES FIRST Melt the butter in a large skillet. Cook chopped onion in the butter for about 3 minutes. Add flour, stir to form paste. (I find that I have to add a little of the broth before the flour so that it does not clump). Add broth, bouillon , and poultry seasoning. Stir until smooth and bubbly. (A wire whisk works best for this). When the mixture has thickened some remove from heat, add cooked chicken, potatoes, and peas and carrots. Stir all together, pour into a 9 x 13 pan. Set aside. Make biscuit recipe on bisquick box.Stir bisquick and milk until soft dough forms. Place on floured surface. Knead 10 times. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with 2 1/2 inch cutter. Place biscuits on top of chicken mixture in 9 x 13 pan. Bake in 450 degree oven for 8 - 10 minutes, or until biscuits are done.This makes approximately 15 one cup servings. I would recommend that this can feed about 6 - 8 people.**note** I usually buy split chicken breast and boil it for 2 - 3 hours.
