1 large onion, chopped
1 Tbsp fresh grated ginger
3 garlic cloves

19 oz canned tomatoes, with juice
5.5 oz tomato paste
2 tsp garam masala, optional
1 cup plain low fat yogurt
1/2 cup 1% milk

Here is how you make Better Butter Chicken:

Pour first amount of oil into a large pot. Heat over medium and add the chicken breasts. Cook the Chicken until browned on both sides (don't worry if it isn't cooked all the way through.) Remove from the pot and slice on the diagonal.Add the second amount of oil. Add the onion, ginger and cloves. Stir and cook until translucent. Add the chili powder, and cinnamon. Continue cooking. Reduce heat and add tomatoes, tomato paste and garam masala, if using. Stir in the chicken and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.Serves 8.Reduce heat to low and stir in yogurt and milk.
