How Do I Make Chicken and Pasta Casserole?

Here is how you make Chicken and Pasta Casserole:

Boil chicken until cooked and then remove from bone and pull apart into bite size pieces. Set aside covered (this can be done the night before also). Be sure all veggies are chopped already and mix them with the chicken (except broccoli).Prepare the white sauce by placing the butter in a small sauce pot that has been preheated over medium heat. Once the butter foams, add flour and stir for 1 minute; try not to let the mixture turn brown. Add milk to the mixture and continue to stir until it starts to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add pepper, Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese to the sauce. Stir to combine. Cook pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking, preheat oven to 400 degrees. During the last minute of the pasta's cooking, add the chopped broccoli to the water. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes or until broccoli is cooked. Drain the pasta and broccoli. Put the olive oil in a 9/13 oven-proof casserole dish and spread throughout the pan.In a large bowl, combine & mix up the pasta and broccoli with the chicken and chopped veggies. Place mixture in casserole dish. Add the sauce and mix it in. Sprinkle the Monterrey Jack cheese on top and cover with foil.
