What Are The Ingredients For Havana Chicken Recipe?The ingredients for Havana Chicken are: 1 1/2 lbs. skinless, boneless chicken breast3 T lime juice 3 T chili powder 1 T olive oil 1 T minced garlic 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes 1 T olive oil, divided 2 small onions, sliced and divided into rings 1 large red bell pepper, cut into strips 1 4 oz. can chopped green chilies, undrained 1/2 cup heavy cream 3/4 cup sour cream 1 T minced fresh cilantro How Do I Make Havana Chicken?Here is how you make Havana Chicken: Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry. Cut into 12 pieces. Pound each piece between 2 sheets of waxed paper until it is slightly less than 1 inch thick. Place pieces in a shallow glass bowl or dish.Combine lime juice, chili powder, 1 T olive oil, garlic, cumin, and red pepper flakes. Spoon over chicken and toss to coat all sides. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours to overnight.Heat 1 1/2 tsp. olive oil in a large, nonstick skillet. Add onion and red bell pepper strips. Cook and stir over medium heat 3 or 4 minutes or until onions are translucent. Transfer into large glass baking dish suitable for serving. Cover with foil and keep warm.Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Heat remaining 1 1/2 tsp. olive oil in the same skillet. Cook the chicken 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink inside. Arrange chicken over relish. Cover with foil and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.Meanwhile, puree green chilies in a blender. Place chilies and heavy cream in a saucepan and cook over medium-low heat. Bring to a gentle boil. Stir in sour cream and cilantro. Cook just until sauce is heated.Pour sauce over chicken and serve hot.
