A grilled chicken recipe for the G5 Foreman grill. Might be possible to cook in a covered skillet. What Course Is Greek Oregano Chicken?Greek Oregano Chicken is for Dinner. How Long Does Greek Oregano Chicken Recipe Take To Prepare?Greek Oregano Chicken takes 120 minutes to prepare. How Long Does Greek Oregano Chicken Recipe Take To Cook?Greek Oregano Chicken takes 15 minutes to cook. How Many Servings Does Greek Oregano Chicken Recipe Make?Greek Oregano Chicken makes 4 servings. What Are The Ingredients For Greek Oregano Chicken Recipe? The ingredients for Greek Oregano Chicken are: Olive Oil, Extra Virgin, 4 tbsLemon juice, 2 tbsp Oregano, ground, 3 tbsp Garlic, 3 grams Pepper, black, 1 tsp Salt, .5 tsp Chicken Breasts, 4 halves, bone and skin removed How Do I Make Greek Oregano Chicken? Here is how you make Greek Oregano Chicken: 1) Combine all ingredients except chicken in plastic zipper bag. 2) Add chicken, seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate bag and contents for 1-4 hours to marinate. 3) Set up grill by placing steak plate in top of unit and grill plate in bottom. Set lever in front, locked position. Pre-heat grill on medium setting. 4) When grill is hot (green light on), place chicken inside and close lid. The directions in my booklet are a bit unclear here. It says to cook the chicken for 6 minutes then discard the marinade which implies that the marinade goes into the grill with the chicken, but it doesn't actually tell you to include the marinade when placing the chicken in the grill. OTOH, one sets the lever to the front position when one wants to drain whatever's in the grill, so that kinda suggests that yes, you do want to add the marinade. Anyway, after six minutes you're supposed to check for doneness and continue to check periodically until the internal temperature of the meat 180 degrees, and no pink remains. Now the last time I looked, chicken is safe to eat at 165. At any rate, sounds like time to get out the digital cooking thermometer with the remote temperature probe. I'm also inclined to brush the chicken with the marinade each time I check it, and any that's left afterward can be heated in the microwave (in a BPA free container of course), to sterilize it and used as gravy. Okay, it adds fat, but hey, it's monounsaturated.
