2 Chicken breasts, boneless & skinless
(can use chicken tenders if desired)
1.5 c. onion, cut into quarters & sliced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded & sliced
1 c. bean sprouts
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp canola oil
2 c. white rice


How Do I Make Indonesian Chicken?

Here is how you make Indonesian Chicken:

Cook 2 c. white rice according to package directions in microwave while cooking rest of recipe on stove.Heat 1 tsp. oil in wok or skillet. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink inside. Remove from pan and set aside on plate. Add remaining oil to pan and add onions, stir-frying/sauteing until almost transluscent. While onions are cooking, cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. When onions are done, return chicken to pan. Add 2 tbsp soy sauce and pepper slices. Heat for 3 minutes. Add bean sprouts and heat for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and spoon over rice to serve.Peppers can be added when the onions are if you like more heat. You can also substitute brown rice for more fiber and a nuttier taste.
