Here is how you make Italian-Style Chicken Livers:

Cook wild rice according to package instructions, set aside. Cook bacon, dice, and drain pan of bacon grease. Add onions, saute until onions are soft (this is where the olive oil goes, but you don't really need it if you use the bacon pan - drain ALL the grease first). Add the tomatoes and any salt and pepper to taste, simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in red pepper and stir, set on back burner on low during the next step.Saute the chicken livers in the butter for five minutes, or until completely cooked through. Combine the chicken livers, tomato sauce, and wild rice in a pan and stir. Heat through and serve.
