What Are The Ingredients For Lisa's Onion Chicken Recipe? The ingredients for Lisa's Onion Chicken are: Chicken Breast, no skin, 8 ounces100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil Cooking Spray, 2 serving Garlic powder, 1 tbsp Pepper, black, 1 tsp Onion Soup or Dip, Mix, Dry, 1 packet Water, tap, 1.5 cup Flour, white, .15 cup Butter, unsalted, 1 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) How Do I Make Lisa's Onion Chicken? Here is how you make Lisa's Onion Chicken: Wash and pat dry your chicken while heating a large skillet. Spray pan well with cooking spray. Brown chicken lightly with the garlic powder and pepper. Do not over cook, as chicken will be simmering with the sauce.Sprinkle on the packet of soup mix and add 1 and half cups of water. Whisk well, and simmer uncovered for approx. 30 minutes, so the water cooks down and thickens, stir occasionally. Then, make a roux with half a cup of water and about 2 tbsp of flour. Mix well and then pour into skillet mixing well with chicken and onion sauce. Add your butter and when butter is melted and incorporated, it is ready to serve. It was about 5 more minutes after adding roux for me. I added the butter to tone down the onion flavor, but if you are concerned with fat, it's probably not needed.Caution, this is very salty if you cannot find a lower sodium soup mix. Do not use any salt on this or salted butter! It would be too much.Number of Servings: 4Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user LISA-ELEVATED.What's The Nutritional Info For Lisa's Onion Chicken? The nutritional information for Lisa's Onion Chicken is:
