What Are The Ingredients For Chicken Pot Pie Skillet Recipe? The ingredients for Chicken Pot Pie Skillet are: 2 tablespoons of light butter2 tablespoons of flour 1 tablespoon of chopped onion 1 tablespoon of chopped celery 1 heaping teaspoon of minced garlic (I buy mine in a jar.) 1 10 oz can of chicken broth 1 small (10 oz) bag of frozen mixed vegetables 2 biscuits (buy them frozen in a bag so you don't have to make all of them at once) 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast 10 shakes of hot sauce from a bottle 1/4 cup or so of milk A dash of the following, to taste: Pepper Salt Garlic powder Lemon juice How Do I Make Chicken Pot Pie Skillet? Here is how you make Chicken Pot Pie Skillet: 1. Chop up your onion and celery.2. Using a large skillet with deep sides, melt the butter. Throw in your celery, onions, and minced garlic. Once the butter is melted, make a rue by adding the flour and mixing until you have a mixture that looks like sand.3. Pour in the entire can of chicken broth and about a 1/4 cup of milk and mix well. This is your gravy mixture.4. Start your chicken and biscuits. Bake the biscuits according to the package. Boil the chicken (yes, boil) in a pot until it is no longer pink inside.6. Defrost your veggies in the microwave so they are no longer frozen.7. Once the gravy mixture has thickened to a gravy consistency, add in your 10 shakes of hot sauce, pepper, salt, and garlic powder. (I like a lot of pepper, a few shakes of salt, and a tiny dash of garlic powder. Remember, there's minced garlic in it already!) Add in a little bit of lemon juice. (a splash or two...err on the side of less so it's not too lemony.)8. If the gravy is too spicy, add in a dash of milk. If it's not spicy enough, add in another shake or two of hot sauce.9. Once you have the gravy to your taste, mix in your veggies.10. Cut up the chicken into bite size pieces and mix in.11. Take your biscuits out of the oven and cut them in half horizontally. Place the bottom of the biscuits on the bottom of a bowl, put your chicken pot pie on top, and top with the other biscuit half.If you want to cut down on calories, use light butter and don't eat it with a biscuit. Enjoy! This recipe makes two delicious servings.
