How Do I Make Country Chicken Pot Pie?

Here is how you make Country Chicken Pot Pie:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease 1 qt. casserole. In saucepan, melt butter, then add flour. Cook together to form a roux. Add chicken broth and milk, stirring til thickened. In mixing bowl, combine chicken, onion, celery, carrots and peas. Stir in chicken broth mixture. Turn into buttered casserole dish. Set in oven for 15 minutes.While filling is cooking, make topping.put dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. Cut in shortening, half at a time, with pastry blender, til mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in milk., just til dough forms a ball around the fork. Turn out onto floured surface and knead a few times. Roll out about 3/4" thick (I like taller biscuits - roll them thinner if you like). Cut them out for biscuits - at least 2" around, depending on the size of your casserole dish.Once the filling has begun to bubble well (about 20 minutes of so), place the biscuits on top, with their edges touching.
