1/2-cup mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of chicken bouillon granules or 1 cube of chicken bouillon (Sam ? I use a product called Better Than Bullion ? it?s a paste, comes in a jar and you have to refrigerate it after its open, but the flavor is HUGE)
1/4-teaspoon salt
1/4-teaspoon pepper
3/4-cup milk
2 cups cubed cooked chicken or turkey (boneless) (Sam ? I buy boneless, skinless chicken thighs and cook them ahead of time in the oven or you can use leftover chicken or turkey, seasoned to your taste.)
1 16-oz bag of frozen mixed vegetables, thawed (Sam ? we prefer peas and carrots, but any combination of veggies would work.)
1 tube (4 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls (Sam ? Crescent roll dough now comes in continuous sheets for purposes like this one ? look for it!)

Here is how you make Patti's Chicken Pot Pie:

Pour the bag of vegetables into a colander and rinse under warm water to thaw. Set aside. In a large saucepan, combine the mayonnaise, flour, bouillon, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk; stir until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. (Sam ? a flat whisk will give you a very smooth sauce.) Add the meat and vegetables; cook 4 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Spoon into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Unroll crescent dough and separate into two rectangles. Form dough into a square and seal seams and perforations. Place over the potpie mixture. Bake at 375? for 15 ? 20 minutes or until golden brown.
