What Are The Ingredients For Chicken Ala Christine Recipe?The ingredients for Chicken Ala Christine are: 2 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts1 cup cooked brown rice 1 cup fresh spinach 1/4 cup finely chopped onion and celery 2 TBSP olive oil (1 TBSP for each, rice and mushrooms) 1 TSP kosher salt 1/2 TSP black pepper 1/4 TSP Garlic and Onion Powder 4 oz. Baby Portobello Mushrooms, sliced 1 TBSP Flour 2 Cups Chicken broth (1 cup to cook rice, remaining for sauce) How Do I Make Chicken Ala Christine?Here is how you make Chicken Ala Christine: In a sauce pan, on medium high heat, add 1 TBSP olive oil. Add rice and brown for a minute or two. Add 1 TSP kosher salt, 1/2 TSP pepper, 1/4 TSP each garlic and onion powder, and 1 cups chicken broth. Cook rice, until tender. Approximately 20 minutes or as directed by package. While rice is cooking finely chop onion and celery. Wash and dry chicken breasts and with a small knife cut a horizontal slit in breast making a pocket. When the rice has cooked, add the fresh spinach to the hot rice to slightly wilt. Mix in chopped onion and celery. Stuff rice mixture into the pocket you made in the chicken breasts. Salt and pepper the chicken and bake for 20 minutes covered with aluminum foil; cook remaining 15 minutes uncovered to brown. While chicken is baking, saut? mushrooms in olive oil, add salt and pepper to taste. When tender, add flour and cook for 2 more minutes. While stirring, slowly add remaining chicken broth. Continue stirring until sauce comes to a bubble and begins to thicken. Additional broth may be added to thin sauce to your preference.
