How Do I Make Mushroom Chicken and Brown Rice?

Here is how you make Mushroom Chicken and Brown Rice:

Start by cooking the rice as directed on packaging. I always add additional water and allow for an extra 10 minutes of steam time when cooking brown rice so it is not as hard/crunchy. While the rice cooks, brown the chicken breast(s) in a non stick skillet using the oil. You can use olive oil as a replacement as well. When the chicken is almost brown to your liking, add the minced garlic. I add this as close to the end as possible to prevent it from burning, but still allowing to brown and carmelize. In a mixing bowl or shaker jar, blend mushroom soup, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and milk. May add a tsp of corn starch or flour to thicken gravy. I use lite salt for additional flavor, to taste. (Different store brand soups have varied sodium content)When garlic is browned/lightly carmelized, add soup mixture and bring to boil for 2-3 minutes, careful not to burn.Put 1/2 cup of cooked rice on serving dish and top with chicken breast and gravy.
