3/4 lb Cooked Chicken breasts ( Boiled or baked but not overcooked), cut into 1" cubes
2 cups Cooked Broccoli (Or other green veggies you prefer) in medium chunks
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
Curry powder, Garam Masala (spicy curry powder) and/or cayenne to taste.
1/2 tsp salt
Panko or other plain bread crumbs to cover dish
1 oz finely grated Asiago cheese or other hard cheese

Here is how you make Frances W's Chicken Divan:

Chicken and broccoli do not need to be 100% fully cooked as they will cook further in casserole. I like to par-boil the ready-frozen chicken for about 5-7 minutes and then chop it.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Mix yogurt, condensed soup, curries, mustard and salt and spread 1/3 of this mixture in the bottom of a 2-3 quart oven-safe casserole dish. Put in the broccoli (or green beans, cooked carrots, or other veggies) and add another 1/3 of the yogurt mixture. Add chicken chunks and remaining yogurt mixture. Mix Asiago or other hard cheese with enough bread crumbs to cover and spread evenly over dish. Place dish on middle rack. If the casserole is very full you may want to place a a flat pan under the dish to catch any drippings. Bake for 25-35 minutes, until sauce is bubbling and bread crumbs are golden brown.Let cool for 5 minutes or so and scoop servings into a shallow bowl or rimmed plate over rice or alone. This dish will be somewhat soupy with its own sauce, which makes it great to put over any plain starch.
