This is adapted from the Canadian Living chicken cookbook. It says there, "You may think there's too much of everything in this marinade - but cooking tames the tang of the vinegar and blends the robust flavors of the mustard, peppercorns, and garlic." Place chicken in a large shallow dish. Whisk together all other ingredients, pour over chicken. 2. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours, turning occasionally. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes. (Shortcut: I put it all in a plastic zip-top bag the day before. Sometimes I even prepare this and freeze it, so that it marinate when it thaws. I don't worry about letting it stand at room temperature.)3. Reserving marinade, place chicken on greased grill over medium heat; cook, basting occasionally with marinade, for about 20 minutes on each side or until juices run clear when chicken is pierced.
