Here is how you make Pop Pop's chili:

Makes 12-16 cup servings. Brown the ground beef. In chopper or right in pot, chop the plum tomatoes (I use a tool from Pampered chef that looks like a pin wheel to chop ground beef and tomatoes). Add all ingredients to pot EXCEPT the kidney beans. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 1-2 hours. Add beans (do not drain) during the last 15 minutes of cooking time.
