Kosher salt 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper 1 tsp. ground cumin 3 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. kosher salt 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper 1 6 oz can tomato paste 2 cups crushed tomatoes 11/2 cups water How Do I Make Stacey's Chili?Here is how you make Stacey's Chili: Heat 2 tsp. canola oil in 4-6 quart dutch oven. Add onions, celery and red pepper. Sautee until soft, add mushrooms and corn. Add 1 tsp Kosher salt and 1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper. Cook until mushrooms are soft. Remove vegetable mixture from pot and add ground beef. Cook ground beef thoroughly, drain off excess fat. Add 1 tsp. Kosher salt, 1/2 tsp. black pepper, 1 tsp. ground cumin, 3 tsp. chili powder. Cook for a few minutes to combine flavors and taste meat for seasoning.Add cooked vegetable mixture to beef, mix together and add 2 cups canned crushed tomatoes and 1 can tomato paste, with 11/2 cups water. Stir together, bring to boil, cover and let simmer for at least 45 min. ***you can add red pepper flakes, fresh or canned jalapeno peppers, etc. for extra heat if you wish.
