1 large celery stalk, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
1 tsp olive oil
2lbs beef (ground or stew meat)
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tbs ground cumin
1.5 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp slt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp ground oregano
1/2 tsp sugar
1/ 8 tsp ground cayenne
2 bay leaves
5 cups of V8 Juice (we like the Spicy Hot)
1 (29 0z) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 cups red beans, drained and rinsed

Here is how you make Lonnie's Chili:

1. In a large pot, lightly saute onion, celery and bell pepper in olive oil until onion is translucent. 2. Add and brown beef; drain fat. 3. Season beef and veggie mix with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt & pepper, oregano, sugar, cayenne and bay leaves. 4. Add V8 juice, tomato sauce, chicken broth and beans.5. Bring to a boil.
