2t cumin
1/4 t very hot red chili powder
1/2 t ground cloves

Serving Size:?Makes 15 1-cup servingsSoak beans overnight in water, or do the following:Bring beans to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes; cover & let stand for an hour.No matter the soaking method, drain off liquid & put beans into 16-quart crock pot. Add canned tomatoes, beef stocks, salsa, and spices.Turn it on.Crush garlic and coarsely chop onions. Remove fat from venison and cut into 1-inch cubes. Saute until the venison is brown; add sauteed ingredients to crock pot. Use wine to deglaze sautee pan. (heat it in the pan and scrape all the little meat bits.) Add to crockpot.Cook covered (I use low setting) for 8 hrs or more.
