It says 7 minutes until hot but you really just need them to open max 4 minutes so they don't get tough.While they are steaming dice fresh chive, scallions, garlic, an red onion. Once done steaming scoop out mussles and rough chop them. In skillet saute chive scallions, garlic, fresh oregano or dried, cracked black pepper..(I use about 6 turns) and red onion in 1 tble spoon olive oil, wine and 1/2 lemon juice. Once the onions are clear and the garlic sings add chopped clams/mussels and saute 1 minute. Remove from heat and add bread crumbs and cheese and mix to form a stuffing blended mix.Spoon into half shells of clams and place on baking sheet, drizzel with remaining oil and lemon juice and bake for about 10 minutes in 375 degree oven til lightly toasted ie brown on top.Don't be tempted to add salt...the cheese mixture adds enough with combination of cheeses.
