If you don't cut the corn off the cob and scrape the cob with the knife to get the milk. In a large skillet add your corn, margarine and start with a half a can of evaporated milk. Stir until margarine is melted. Add the remaining milk as needed. Add pepper. I don't salt as it is cooking. You can add a tablespoon or two of bacon grease. Not calculated in.You could also use fat free evaporated milk. I haven't tried that yet, but it will cut down on carbs, fat and calories.
