1 lb. extra lean ground beef, browned and drained
1 14.5 oz. can diced Italian tomatoes
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 large green bell pepper, diced
1/2 onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 T. chili powder (optional)
1/2 tsp. ground cumin (optional)
Salt & pepper
1 c. elbow macaroni, uncooked



How Do I Make Old-Fashioned Goulash?

Here is how you make Old-Fashioned Goulash:

Brown ground beef in large skillet; drain off grease. Add onion, bell pepper, garlic, chili powder and cumin (if desired). Salt and pepper to taste. Cook until onion and pepper are softened; add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Let simmer about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the macaroni according to package directions in boiling water until done. Drain and rinse macaroni; add to the meat mixture in skillet and gently simmer for 5-10 minutes so the flavors can meld.
