Here is how you make Steph2003's Southern Turnip Greens:

Boil turnip greens in large pot (I use 8qt.) with desired amount of water, on medium heat.Fry bacon and add it along with the grease to the turnip greens that are just starting to boil. Cover, stir occasionally, cook for about 30 min, then add salt and any other desired spices, simmer for about 15 more minutes, discard bacon, drain some of the liquid and serve.
