1 Medium Onion
6 Cloves of Garlic
1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
1 Pound of Lean Ground Turkey
2 Tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons of Jamaican Jerk Dry Rub (you can use a pre made marinade as well, but be sure to check the nutrition information so you know what you are getting into)
1 Cup Frozen Peas
1 Can Diced Tomoatoes
Salt and Pepper to Taste


How Do I Make Jamaican Jerk Sloppy Joes?

Here is how you make Jamaican Jerk Sloppy Joes:

Drizzle the oil into a good sized skillet and turn to medium heat. Chop the onion and garlic and add to the pan. Cook the onion and garlic until soft and starting to brown. Add the ground turkey, worcestershire sauce, jamaican jerk seasoning and some salt and pepper. Turn the heat up and cook meat is completely browned. Drain most of the liquid off of the tomatoes and add to the pan with the frozen peas. Cook until both are heated through. You may want to taste the mixture for seasoning at this point and if it is not as spicy as you would like it (this is Jamaican jerk afterall), add more of the spice mixture.
